Microneedling With PRP
Skincare grows important as one’s age grows because our skin reveals our ageing too quickly to the outside world! Wrinkles, fine lines and uneven skin tone are signs of ageing skin. It is essential that one gets behind the wheel immediately and takes charge to retain that unblemished, youthful skin.
The Hair Loss Clinic has wonderful anti-ageing skincare solutions that not only smoothen the skin but also restore the skin’s health. Dr Balvant Arora believes that short term quick-fix solutions affect only the exterior but holistic skincare treatments like Microneedling can lead to long term health benefits for the patient’s skin.
Microneedling can be done as such or it can be combined with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). Microneedling when combined with PRP acts as a premium anti-aging skincare treatment. It improves collagen production and increases blood circulation which results in great skin!
What Is Microneedling?
Microneedling is a multi-purpose cosmetic procedure that has great benefits for the patient. At The Hair Loss Clinic, our award-winning, Board-certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr Balvant Arora recommends Microneedling for Skincare, Anti-Ageing and Hair Growth treatments.
It involves the use of a small handheld roller device. The device contains tiny needles ranging between 0.25 and 3 millimetres long. Our skincare expert rolls the device on the patient’s skin causing controlled micro-injuries to the outer layer of the skin. These injuries lead to micro-inflammation which stimulates the production of new collagen and better blood circulation to the skin cells. Application of PRP provides growth factors. Collagen helps in reducing the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and elevates the overall texture of your skin.
Microneedling is a safe and non-invasive technique for anti-ageing skincare. It is more of a restorative procedure since it prompts your skin to go back to its best form through high collagen production. It also heals small acne scars and stretchmarks.
The Benefits of Microneedling are:
- It is minimally invasive.
- It doesn’t involve the use of any chemical products or artificially produced medicines.
- It is a simple process with zero downtime for the patient.
- It is affordable and effective.
Who Is The Right Candidate For Microneedling?
Microneedling works best on patients with wrinkled skin, uneven skin tone or scars and marks.
At The Hair Loss Clinic, we have listed down some criteria which could make you a fit candidate for Microneedling:
What To Expect At The Consultation?
During the first visit, our Anti-Aging Expert Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr Balvant Arora will obtain detailed medical and history and history of any skincare treatment taken so far. Medical and surgical treatment options will be discussed. If you are the right candidate for Microneedling with PRP, you will be explained the procedure again. An approximate number of sessions required will be told to you. When you agree on the treatment, your procedure will be scheduled.
The main purpose of the consultation at our clinic is to understand your unique case and your expectations from the Microneedling with PRP. It is essential that both you and our anti-ageing, skincare expert doctor are on the same page from the very beginning.
What To Expect Before The Microneedling Session?
Here is what you can expect on the day of your session:
What Happens During The Microneedling Session?
First, a topical anaesthetic will be applied to your skin. This will numb you from feeling any pain that may result from the use of the Dermaroller.
Once you are settled in, our doctor will use the Dermaroller on your skin in the targeted areas. The size of the needles in the roller will be chosen by the doctor depending on your unique case. Blood will be drawn for PRP.
When the roller is used on your skin, it will cause micro-injuries. PRP is then applied. This will stimulate the production of collagen to heal the injuries and induce stem cells to begin skin rejuvenation and restoration.
Finally, after using the derma roller, the doctor may apply a soothing balm on the skin to eliminate any pain or discomfort you may feel.
What Happens After The Microneedling Session?
There is no extra care that the person has to undertake after the process. The doctor might prescribe certain medicated sunblock or moisturisers which will help to speed up and stimulate the results of the process even more.
In case you are wondering whether or not Microneedling is right for you, we invite you for a consultation at The Hair Loss Clinic where Dr Balvant Arora will guide you further on this subject.
