Rocking a beard like Jason Momoa or Chris Hemsworth is every man’s dream. But sometimes, this dream remains just a dream as your beard refuses to grow no matter what you try!

Your beard is a symbol of your powerful masculinity and machismo. It gives your personality a ravishing look and makes your face look even more contoured.

So, if you are looking to grow a full beard and need some help, we are here for you!

The Hair Loss Clinic’s beard transplant is an innovative and novel way to get a full beard that can boost your confidence and help you achieve a more masculine look.

What Is A Beard Transplant?

Beard transplant involves extracting hair from other parts of the body, mostly the scalp and then transplanting them to the desired area on the cheeks and chin.

The Hair Loss Clinic’s Beard Transplant can also be done to increase the density of the hair on the sideburns as well.

This helps to get the desired look of a fuller and denser beard.

What Are The Different Methods Of Beard Transplant At The Hair Loss Clinic?

Beard transplant at The Hair Loss Clinic generally involves two prominent methods which are common to hair transplant as well:

  1. Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT): Follicular Unit Transplantation or FUT involves selecting the donor area on the back of the head. A linear strip is then removed and donor site is closed with sutures. The strip is dissected into  grafts. These grafts are then transplanted on the face to give the beard. The procedure is done under local anesthesia and recovery time is also less.

2. Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE):

  1. While FUT is the traditional method, Follicular Unit Extraction or FUE is the more modern approach to beard transplant. Unlike FUT where a strip is taken from the donor area, FUE involves removing individual hair follicles. Typically, the hair extracted for FUE is taken from safe posterior areas of the head under local anaesthesia. In FUE, there is no linear scar as it happens in FUT, due to the use of a strip from the donor area. Instead FUE leaves small punch scar from extraction of follicles which is well covered with hair.

Both the methods require utmost care while implanting the hair follicles as the direction of the hair growth on the face differs from that on the head. Thus, taking care of the direction is important to have natural looking and best results.

What To Expect Before The Beard Transplant Surgery?

Here is what you can expect on the day of your surgery:

What Is The Recovery Process After The Beard Transplant Surgery?

Recovery after a beard transplant is quite comfortable and quick. Any pain that accompanies can be alleviated by pain medications. Additionally antibiotic medicines and ointments are prescribed by the doctor.

Generally, patients can resume work after a day or two. However, vigorous exercise is not permitted for at least 48 hours. Crusting might be observed after a few days. However, these crusts generally fall off after a week or so. The doctor generally advises not to wash to face until the crusts have fallen off completely.

Hair fall from the transplanted area after a few weeks is not a sign to panic as it is a natural process. It takes about 3 to 4 months for the actual results to appear. In most cases, the results of beard transplants are excellent and rarely a second sitting may be required.

Dr Balvant Arora has a holistic approach towards these treatments so as to maintain healthy results of the Beard transplant. Thus, advice on beard care and how to maintain the nutrition will be given and the supplements that need to be taken will be prescribed by the doctor that greatly aid in the long run.

In case you are wondering whether or not Beard transplant is right for you, we invite you for a consultation at The Hair Loss Clinic where Dr Balvant Arora will guide you further on this subject.
